Major Russian Attacks Disrupt Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered problems to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has increased strikes on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty missiles attacked energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people hurt in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from city authorities.
